A Boorach of Stronachs

This is the section of our web site which gives access to the geographical and historical backgrounds of families of Stronachs, mainly those originating in the North-East of Scotland, but also including those with any direct connection to Scotland. By 'direct connection' we mean any Stronach who was born or lived or died in Scotland.

The material on Stronach history that we have so far gathered is presently organised in three main sections:

•  the first (Background) section presents the details of the material found in the various sources we have used, together with anecdotes and background material concerning a few individual Stronachs.

•  the second (Gravestones) section presents photographs and/or transcripts of all Stronach gravestones in churchyards or cemeteries in Scotland (still to be completed)

•  the final (Genealogy) section, which is still under development, presents genealogical information on all Scottish Stronachs - the Stronach Family Forest!

Information on the sources we have used in researching the history of Stronach are detailed in the 'Sources' page and comprise mainly our own library of Scottish books, genealogy and family history web sites and various archives.
