Thursday
1st. Theatre Visit. Organiser: Helen Clement. Aberdeen Opera
Company present 'The Drowsy Chaperone' at
Aberdeen Arts Centre, at 7:30 pm, tickets £12.
It all begins when an avid musical theatre fan
plays his favourite cast album on his turntable and the musical
literally bursts into life in the middle of his New York
apartment. Outrageous characters, played by actors with a
chequered past, take the stage and a razzmatazz tale of
hilarious proportions unfolds. Rightly billed as a musical
within a comedy 'The Drowsy Chaperone', a Tony award winner, is
endearing and highly entertaining; answering perfectly the
theatre go-er's silent plea - 'Oh let it be good - and short!!'
A pre-theatre supper has been arranged for 5:00 pm at La
Lombarda (2 King Street), 2 courses £15. Please let Hazel
Clement know asap if you are interested:
Cheques for £12 Theatre tickets only made payable
to Hazel Clement..Supper will be paid directly
to La Lombarda on the night, together with any drink orders.
Some of you may prefer to go directly to the
show, missing out the meal. If that is the case please still
book via Hazel and let her know that she does not have to
reserve seats at the restaurant for you.
